【パラリンピック大会について】
London 2012:
ロンドン２０１２の聖火を運ぶトーチリレーの最終候補者募集。ロンドン２０１２パラリンピックトーチリレーパートナーのBT、 Lloyds
TSB、セインスベリーズが５人一組のトーチリレーチームを募集している。

Sochi 2014:
ロシアでパラリンピックの存在をより多くの人に知ってもらうために、最も新しい「我らのチャンピオン」という賞がチェリャビンスク地域「グラニット車椅子カーリングチーム」に贈られた。

Rio 2016:
２０１１年は企画の年だけでなく、大会エンブレムの作成や新しいスポンサーの発表、オリンピックパークの都市計画などリオ２０１６実行委員会やリオデジャネイロ市による多くの成果を見れた年である。

【各競技より】
「アメリカでＩＦＤＳ世界選手権開幕」
IFDS障害者セーリング世界選手権は１月７日に米国のフロリダで開幕し、各国の代表や地元ののボートクラブが出席しウェルカムパーティーと開会式が開かれる。

「アルペンスキー界にロシアの新星現る」
まだ２１歳のアルペンスキー選手Alexander
Alyabyevはソチ２０１４冬季パラリンピックで金メダルを地元に持って帰るという目標を胸に、自分より年上の選手達と競い合い、今シーズン波を起こしたいと言っている。

「カナダのJoines怪我から復帰」
昨シーズン怪我をし三度も手術をしたカナダのパラリンピック金メダリスト、Kimberly Joinesが大会に復帰する。

London 2012: The start of 2012 sees the last opportunities to nominate people
to carry the Paralympic Flame during the London 2012 Paralympic Torch
Relay. The three Presenting Partners for the London 2012 Paralympic Torch
Relay, BT, Lloyds TSB and Sainsbury’s, are searching for inspirational
Torchbearers, to work in teams of five

Sochi 2014: The most recent "Our Champion" award was presented to the
"Granit" wheelchair curling team from the Chelyabinsk region, as part of the
program to raise Paralympic awareness in Russia.

Rio 2016: The year 2011 was a year of planning, but it was also a year of
many accomplishments by the Rio 2016? Organizing Committee and the city
of Rio de Janeiro. The launch of the two Games’ emblems, the announcement
of new sponsors and the winning project of the Urban General Plan for the
Olympic Park were some of the major accomplishments of this special year.

FROM THE SPORTS
IFDS World Championships Under Starter’s Orders in USA: The 2012
International Association for Disabled Sailing (IFDS) World
Championships will got underway on 7 January in Florida, USA, with an
Opening Ceremony and Welcome Party featuring nations and
representatives from local boating clubs.

Russia’s Alyabyev to Inject New Blood into Alpine Ski Season: Russia’s
Alexander Alyabyev is the new kid on the block. At just 21 years, the
Alpine Skier is hoping to make waves this season and challenge some of
his older competitors, with one goal in mind: to win a medal for home
crowds at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.
Canada’s Joines to Make a Comeback after Last Season’s Injuries:
Canada’s Paralympic medallist Kimberly Joines is returning to
competitive skiing after her injuries of last season, which saw her
having three surgeries in as many months.
